È necessaria molta formazione per i docenti italiani. A certificarlo sono i dati dell’indagine OCSE TALIS 2013 che vedono l’Italia al primo posto per necessità di formazione ICT dei propri docenti: almeno il 36% ha infatti dichiarato di non essere sufficientemente preparato per la didattica digitale, a fronte di una media del 17%. L’Italia è inoltre il primo Paese dell’OCSE, con distanza rispetto agli altri, per percentuale di docenti oltre i 50 anni – il 62%, rispetto a una media OCSE del 35% nella scuola secondaria (Fonte: OECD Education at a glance, 2014). Dato che cambierà in meglio con le assunzioni previste dal piano La Buona Scuola, ma sempre particolarmente elevato.

In questo contesto si inserisce il progetto DigiFe che raccoglierà in questi mesi i migliori strumenti a disposizione di insegnati e formatori come corsi, laboratori ed altro materiale didattico per accrescere le proprie competenze.

Digital Education. Some data from the Italian report and DigiFE’s goals

A lot of training is needed for Italian teachers. This is certified by data from the OECD TALIS 2013 survey that see Italy in first place for ICT training needs of its teachers: in fact, at least 36 percent said they were not sufficiently prepared for digital teaching, compared to an average of 17 percent. Italy also ranks first in the OECD, with distance from the others, in the percentage of teachers over 50 years of age-62 percent, compared to an OECD average of 35 percent in secondary education (Source: OECD Education at a glance, 2014). A figure that will change for the better with hiring under the La Buona Scuola plan, but still particularly high.

This is the context for the DigiFe project, which will gather in these months the best tools available to teachers and trainers such as courses, workshops and other educational materials to increase their skills.
